PWC Test


 
The sub-maximum Physical Working Capacity (PWC) test is based on the relation between aerobic performance and bodyweight.

Instructions

EquipmentThe PWC Test is done on a cycle ergometer. Furthermore you need a stopwatch, a heart rate monitor and, if possible, an assistant.
PreparationApply heart rate monitor. Then adjust height of seat and handlebar of cycle ergometer to comfortable height and angle.
ExecutionChoose initial workload and cycle with quite exactly 70 rpm. Permanently control heart rate. Every 2 minutes increase performance by 25 Watts until target you reach the target heart rates reached. Not actual performance level (in watt) and stop test.
