The aim of this test is to measuring the he flexibility of shoulder- and chest muscles.

Instructions

PreparationLie supine on floor, and keep body straight. Hold hands above head, keep elbows slightly flexed and clasp thumbs.
ExecutionMove arms beyond head toward floor.

Analysis

AnalysisHand and elbow should touch floor, if not, chest and shoulder muscles are shortened.
ReliabiltyIt depends on the subject´s age and level of motivation as well as individual warm-up and air temperature. This test is usually done without any previous warm-up.
CommentsTo improve shoulder flexibility have a regular chest and front shoulder stretching.
