Shoulder Flexibility Test, Standing


 
The aim of this test is to measure the flexibility of shoulder and chest muscles.

Instructions

Equipmentbroomstick or towel
PreparationGrasp towel of stick overhand and hold it in front of chest, keep arms slightly flexed and palms facing down.
ExecutionMove arms up over head and below until hands are behind upper back. Keep grip distance throughout motion. After accomplishing repeat with slightly narrower grip distance. Continue until movement canīt be completed.

Analysis

AnalysisMeasure closest grip distance. On the wooden stick, it can also be marked as required.
CommentsUse this test to control your shoulder flexibility from time to time. An objective comparison or general scoring is impossible because of individual arm length. To improve shoulder flexibility have a regular chest, shoulder and upper back stretching.
